About the Job
Equation Staffing is currently seeking Forklift Operators for a client of ours located in Calgary, AB. This position will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize materials within a warehouse and manufacturing environment. This role is hands-on and requires strong attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, sit-down, or reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move products and materials to designated storage areas or production lines.
- Stack, organize, and stage materials accurately.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and follow company procedures.
- Follow all safety policies and guidelines at all times.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Previous forklift operating experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs when required.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
- Located in the Foothills Industrial, Calgary.
- Warehouse and manufacturing facility.
- Fast-paced environment with indoor and outdoor material handling.
