About the Job
Equation Staffing is currently seeking Maintenance Mechanics for a client of ours located in Calgary, AB. This position will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and facility equipment to ensure smooth daily operations. This role is hands-on and requires mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Inspect production equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur.
- Replace or repair defective components such as motors, belts, bearings, and conveyors.
- Maintain maintenance logs and complete work orders accurately.
- Ensure tools and work areas are clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Work Environment:
- Located in the Foothills Industrial, Calgary.
- Assembly-based manufacturing plant.
- Fast-paced environment supporting production equipment and facility operations.
