Our client has an immediate opening for a detail oriented and organized Property Administrator to fill an 18-month contract in Edmonton, AB. Responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day operations of residential properties, maintenance coordination, financial record keeping and general office administration. Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager and property management team.
- Collect tenant insurance and tenant sales reports as needed.
- Respond to tenant inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Review and prepare tenant notification letters, billing notices, rental applications, and security deposit applications.
- Process tenant chargebacks.
- Coordinate with janitorial team for cleaning vacant properties.
- Assist the Accounting team with account reconciliations, manage tenant utility consumption and provide reports on tenants’ accounts.
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances when required.
- Assist with scheduled reporting such as monthly and annual budgets, expense variances, etc.
- Maintain and update tenant contact information, tenant handbooks, contractor manuals and website documents.
- Provide general administrative support to the property management team.
- Communicate regularly with other departments to ensure accuracy of information.
- Communicate regularly with tenants regarding building operations.
- Help maintain positive tenant and vendor relationship.
- Participate in community events.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative role.
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline is required.
- Previous experience in real-estate / property management is an asset.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Strong customer service orientation, a people person who likes solving problems.
- Excellent communication skills, professional when engaging with suppliers, tenants, colleagues, etc.
- Excellent time management skills to coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Flexible and energetic, likes to lend a hand to other teams as needed.
- Strong computer skills coupled with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience working with JDE would be an asset.
- Successful City of Edmonton Criminal Record Check and Education Check.
