Our oil and gas client is recognized worldwide, and they are currently seeking a temporary Senior Accounts Payable Administrator to join their busy team. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, experience with high volume invoices, a love of numbers and be self-motivated to meet the company’s deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify high volume invoices for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and compliance with company policies
Pull reports utilizing the software system QByte Financial
Maintain, update and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial regulations
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and reporting
Monitor AP aging reports and manage cash flow considerations related to payables
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

Education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practices
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
